VISIONS OF HEAVEN:

The eminent art historian Professor Martin Kemp, widely known for his scholarship on Leonardo da Vinci, has written a major new study linking the depiction of divine light in Dante’s Divine Comedy with masterpieces of Renaissance and Baroque painting. His new book, Visions of Heaven: Dante and the Art of Divine Light, was published to coincide with the 700th anniversary of the death of Dante Alighieri (1265-1321) and was released on 25th March 2021, Italy’s National Dante Day.
