ONLINE DISCUSSION 22 November 2021: Restitution, The Return of Cultural Artefacts
Click here to register for your free ticket via Eventbrite.
To celebrate the publication of his new book Restitution: The Return of Cultural Artefacts, Alexander Herman will be joined by Sir Alan Moses, Joint Chair of the UK's Spoliation Advisory Panel and a former Lord Justice of Appeal, and Professor Henrietta Lidchi, Head of Research and Collections at the National Museum of World Cultures in The Netherlands, for a fascinating discussion of the broader themes around restitution and the conclusions of the book. The event is being organised in association with Sotheby's Institute of Art and will be chaired by Gareth Fletcher.
With new returns of cultural objects being announced on a weekly basis, the timing of this event - and the book's publication - couldn't be better.
